CONDITIONS WE TREAT

SERVICES AND PRICING

The type of massage is based upon your preferences and your current condition.

Every massage is unique to each individual.

If you are unsure what treatment is right for you, please call for a free consultation.

DEEP TISSUE, ORTHOPEDIC, TRIGGER POINT THERAPY:

For those who need specific issues targeted such as chronic knots, scar tissue or pain from injuries. Used to unwind overused or damaged muscle tissue and re-educate it back to its fullest potential. This form of massage uses deep strokes and precise pressure or kneading.

SWEDISH / RELAXATION:

For those who just need to relax and unwind the mind. This is a more gentle approach to healing, though pressure will still be catered to your preference from light pressure to deeper techniques.

SPORTS, STRETCHING:

Have a big competition coming up? Looking forward to beginning the season? Proper muscular work will help you prepare for and recover from all of your sports activities. Regular massage sessions and stretching also helps prevent injuries.

YOUTH CARE:

Recommended ages 5-15.  Children have muscles, too!  Introducing your child to the importance of self-care can greatly increase their chances for continuing it through adult hood.  It’s easy to think that children “bounce back” quickly, however their body works just the same as an adult, and injuries early on can have long term lasting effects if not addressed properly.  Here are some conditions we treat for our young clients:  Joint pains from growth spurts, sore neck and shoulders from heavy backpacks, low back tension from sitting at a school desk, sports injuries or tension from repetitive mechanics (like pitching), muscle strains from vigorous activity, headaches from eye strain with screens, stress, anxiety, self esteem and not sleeping well.

PRENATAL:

All Therapists here are Certified in prenatal and postnatal therapy however we do suggest speaking with your doctor about receiving massage treatments. Sessions will be in side laying or reclined positions for maximum comfort.

CORE RECOVERY, TARGETED ABDOMINAL WORK:

Focuses on relieving pain or tension within the abdominal cavity by addressing issues such as adhesions from injuries, scar tissue from past surgeries, weak core muscles, anxiety, low back tension, torso pain and gut discomfort.
For women: Tre
atment can also help to alleviate symptoms of endometriosis, dysmenorrhea, and postnatal recovery.

FOOT AND ANKLE CARE

Care for feet and ankles to relieve pain from prior surgery, old sprains, joint dysfunction, plantar fasciitis and overuse (dancers and athletes).  This treatment focuses solely on the feet, ankles and any issues caused by your condition such as lower leg or knee pain.

REFLEXOLOGY TREATMENT:

Gentle application to specific points of hands and feet to help access the nervous system for full body relaxation while also releasing muscle tension throughout. Reflexology is an ancient form of holistic healing that can help relieve symptoms from chronic pain, injury, mind body disconnection, psychosomatic disorders and everyday stress.

30 Min Session: Foot Reflexology

60 Min Session: Foot/Hand Reflexology, neck and shoulder massage

CUPPING TREATMENT:

This centuries-old treatment will enhance the effects of any Therapeutic Massage session.  Cups are placed on the body strategically and a mild to moderate suction is created to lift up tense layers of tissue.  This “negative pressure" helps to loosen fascia, tight muscles, soften scar tissue and open lymphatic pathways to drain excess fluid and toxins.  Cupping also stimulates blood and oxygen flow to promote cell repair for healing.  Great for old injuries, chronic pain, stiff muscles, fatigue, immune support and more.

GUA SHA:

An ancient therapeutic method that involves using a tool to scrape or comb the surface of the skin.  Eastern medicine refers to Gua Sha as a therapy to address stagnant energy in the body that is the cause of inflammation or pain.  Western medicine explains Gua Sha as a method to elicit a mechanical response in the body so healing cells can be brought to the area of injury or pain.  Gua Sha can reduce inflammation, decrease pain in muscles and joints, reduce scar tissue and much more.
